If you don’t know what features to look for in an air mattress then this guide will help you.
Fabric
The fabric plays an important role in how the mattress is used, the level of maintenance it requires and the life of the air mattress itself. A higher quality mattress will therefore no doubt last longer than a lower quality one.
Comfort and Support
The key in finding an air mattress that can maximize the comfort and support you require is its design as well as its construction materials. It’s important to check that the air mattress has a pad, cushioning and protection. A q-coil construction will ensure that your air mattress will not sag which can lead to an uncomfortable night’s sleep.
Inflation Method
There are 3 main options with pumping up your air mattress; the first of these is to use your own lungs which can be quite tiresome. The next is to use a one-way inflation valve, where a small flat stops air escaping as you pump it up. The final and easiest is to use a manual or electric pump which require no or very little labor to get your mattress fully pumped.
Construction and Durability –
The majority of people tend to believe that the thicker the plastic on the air mattress, the more sturdy and well constructed it is, this is however not entirely true. The main cause for concern and thing that should be looked at first is the mattress welds which hold the mattress together. If the welds are poor quality they may split and the mattress may not last very long at all especially over a long period of usage.
Storage
Always fully deflate the air mattress and keep it in a safe place where it cannot get pierced or extreme heat or cold will not damage the fabrics.
